OEM vs ODM Hijab Manufacturing: A Step-by-Step Guide for Brands
Launching a private-label hijab brand is more accessible than most people think. Whether you choose OEM or ODM, here is the full manufacturing process from idea to delivery.
OEM vs ODM — what's the difference?
OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) means you provide the design and specs, and we produce it. ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) means you select from our existing designs and add your branding. Most new brands start with ODM for speed, then move to OEM as they grow.
Step 1: Fabric and style selection
Choose your jersey type (bamboo, cotton, premium, or liquid) and styles. We send swatches so you can confirm hand-feel, weight, and colour before committing.
Step 2: Sampling
We produce a pre-production sample (typically 5-7 working days). You confirm fabric, colour, size, stitching, and branding. Sample fees are refundable against your bulk order.
Step 3: Customisation
Add your logo, main label, care label, hang tag, and packaging. This is what turns a generic product into your brand.
Step 4: Bulk production and QC
Once the sample is approved, we begin bulk production with strict in-house quality control — including finished-product inspection and needle detection for safety compliance.
Step 5: Shipping
We arrange worldwide logistics by express or ocean freight depending on your volume and timeline, and handle export documentation.
Typical lead times
- Sample: 5-7 working days
- Bulk production: 10-20 days depending on quantity
