Lace Attachment Quality Control for Modal Hijabs: Seam Stability Standards for Bulk OEM Orders
- Lace and modal respond differently to tension and washing, so the joining operation needs a dedicated construction specification.
- The approval sample should be tested for puckering, seam slippage, trim alignment, and wash dimensional change.
- A controlled attachment process protects the appearance of repeat lots when lace suppliers or fabric lots change.
A lace-trimmed hijab combines two materials with different stretch, weight, and recovery. If the seam is treated like a standard hem, the finished edge can pucker, wave, or pull away after washing.
1. Specify the construction
The tech pack should state lace width, overlap, seam allowance, stitch type, thread, differential feed, and acceptable alignment tolerance. Include close-up images of corners, joins, and the finished edge.
2. Validate the seam
The PPS should be checked for seam slippage, puckering, trim distortion, and color harmony. Wash testing should compare the lace and modal after laundering, with dimensional measurements taken before and after.
3. Control production
During bulk sewing, first-piece approval and hourly visual checks help catch tension drift before a full lot is affected. QIUYAN can retain a seam reference and record the lace lot, thread setting, and operator-line assignment for repeat orders.
